Chelsea academy graduate Charlotte Wardlaw has been loaned to Liverpool for this season after signing a new contract until summer 2025 with the Blues.
The midfielder spent the previous season on loan with Liverpool, where she made 23 appearances and helped the Reds win promotion from the Championship to the Women's Super League.
However, Chelsea decided to allow her to return to Liverpool for this season after signing the player to a new contract, and she is thrilled about the move.
On being unveiled in Liverpool, Wardlaw said, "I'm so delighted to be back. I adore this club, just like I did last season, the girls, and all this club represents. The choice was rather simple.
"We see this as a terrific chance for Charlotte to go back to Liverpool and gain significant WSL experience," Chelsea general manager Paul Green stated.
“She had a good season with Liverpool last year helping them gain promotion and we feel that this as an important next step in her development. We look forward to seeing her have another successful season with Liverpool.”
Liverpool boss Matt Beard said: “We’ve been monitoring Charlotte’s situation all summer and we’ve been speaking with Chelsea for some time.
