Arsenal midfielder Tim Akinola made his debut for Chesterfield earlier this month and he has already been lavished with praise by the National League club’s coaching staff.
When evaluating the 21-year-debut old's game for Chesterfield, assistant manager Simon Webb compared the player to Chelsea star N'Golo Kante:
"He is in shape, he breaks up the action, and I think he will be a wonderful addition. He is physically fit, and he reminds me a little bit of older midfielders. People discuss Kante's time at Chelsea and the career he has had by breaking up play. Tim does not split it up and give it away, which is a plus. He makes thoughtful choices.
Although Akinola is on loan in the fifth division of English football, he is obviously a long way from being able to play at Kante's level.
The midfielder has played just 25 minutes for Chesterfield, after yesterday’s match against Gateshead was postponed, but he will be keen to make an impact between now and when his loan ends in May.
Akinola struggled to get any game time after joining Scottish side Dundee United for the second half of last season so he will be looking to make more of an impression at Chesterfield.
