Mateo Kovačić feeling ‘good to go’ for Chelsea after knee injury

Mateo Kova'i has participated fully in practice this week, including in the open training session on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge, which raises the possibility that the 28-year-old midfielder may play his first season-opening match on Saturday when we take on Leicester City.

Due to a nagging knee injury, Kova missed the majority of the preseason and the first three games of the regular season. However, he's ready to move past his frustrations, as he said to Chelsea TV this week.
With N’Golo Kanté set to miss several weeks, if not months with a severe hamstring injury and neither Jorginho nor Conor Gallagher getting off to a great start this season, we need Kova back yesterday. Hopefully he is indeed ready to go, especially as the fixture list gets more congested starting this weekend.
