Chelsea in the battle to sign €25m-rated Dutch right-back👇

Chelsea's interest in Denzel Dumfries is growing, and the defender's entourage has been contacted about a potential transfer during the current transfer window. The London giants have been searching for a right-back to strengthen their defense.

It was thought that the Blues were looking for a right-back because Azpilicueta was rumored to be on the verge of leaving Chelsea for Barcelona. Cesar ultimately decided to sign a new contract with Chelsea and ignored Barcelona.

The Blues are still looking for a wing-back to play on the right side of their defense, though. The team wants to sign another player, but Reece James will likely be the German manager's first pick.
The Netherlands international has emerged as an option, and the London giants have had a long-standing interest in the right-back. The Blues have been in the market for him since the start of the ongoing transfer window, but are facing competition from the Red Devils.

Earlier reports had claimed that Inter Milan have asked the Blues to cough up €50m for Denzel. Chelsea reportedly had an offer turned down for Dumfries, who still has three years remaining on his existing deal with the Nerazzurri.

The 26-year-old right-back is also a regular for the Netherlands and has 35 international caps to his name. The Dutch defender has also scored five goals in those matches.
