What Antonio Rudiger was spotted doing in Chelsea's London derby win against Tottenham
Chelsea fans can't believe what defender Antonio Rudiger has done as the Blues hit three past their London rivals Tottenham in the Premier League.
Rudiger, 28, showed his class once again with his flawless display in the back three as he played a major part in ensuring Thomas Tuchel's side picked up their fourth Premier League clean sheet already in the 2021/22 campaign.
Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler said during the game: "I should also mention that he [Rudiger] very nearly didn’t get into the game today because on his phone, the biometrics didn't work that you have to pass to get through to the Covid check.
Thankfully, they got the technology to work out and he is here."
Manager Thomas Tuchel will certainly hope that the 28-year-old will be in London for the long-term with negotiations ongoing to try and get the defender tied down to a new and improved contract.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Tuchel said: "I hope that they find a solution but it's not only between coaches and players. It's between the club and the player's agent.
"He plays excellent for a long time - very consistent [and] at a very high level. I feel him very calm, very focused and it's obviously not a distraction for him.
"So give things time - sometimes it needs a bit longer, sometimes things get very fast. There's no news from my side
