Real Madrid make Eden Hazard decision as Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia eyes transfer

Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has been linked with a return to Chelsea this summer.

Real Madrid have decided not to sell Eden Hazard amid links to Chelsea, according to reports. The Belgium international has struggled since moving to the Bernabeu back in the summer transfer window of 2019. But a blockbuster return to Stamford Bridge doesn’t appear to be on the cards.

Having lost Cristiano Ronaldo to Juvneuts the previous year, they believed the Belgium international would be a worthy replacement.

However, Hazard has struggled during his two years in Spain - scoring just four La Liga goals, registering only five assists and being limited to a mere 30 appearances during his two years there.

With Real eyeing Kylian Mbappe, talk of Hazard leaving has gathered momentum.

But Defensa Central claim that Real will give the 30-year-old one last season to show he’s up for the task of playing for the biggest club in the world.

If he struggles, though, they’d be open to selling Hazard in next summer’s transfer window instead.

But Chelsea are now likely to focus on other targets instead.

Erling Haaland is currently their main aim, with the Borussia Dortmund star’s long-term future at the Westfalenstadion still very much up in the air.

The Norway international scored 40 goals across all competitions last term and is considered one of the best young strikers on the planet.

And whether Chelsea are able to lure him to the capital remains to be seen.
