Just as he is for Chelsea, Mason Mount has become one of the most reliable performers foe England.

One episode from the Croatia game in particular, shows what he can give the team in ball.

The midfielder received the ball on the left wing:

Unfortunately, Mason was in a static position when he received a pass, so the only way to move the ball was to pass it.

However, he saw Raheem Sterling making a run behind a Croatian midfielder and made a pass to the point where he thought the Man City winger would be.

Of course there he was in a great position to directly threaten the goal (if only he wasn't moving away from it).
