Super League sues UEFA and FIFA for violating EUROPEAN laws
The super League committee has decided to sue UEFA and FIFA for their threats towards the clubs who decided to form the competition last month.
In an official statement, they said: "the super League Sues UEFA and FIFA for violating EUROPEAN competition laws upon by the Madrid court.
The end goal of this is to clarify if the competition organized by UEFA and FIFA infringe the rules of free competition.
The Madrid court has also made it clear that UEFA has no legal right to take any actions on the clubs still involved in the super League.
This case has dragged so long because of UEFA threatening to ban the existing super clubs Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus from future competitions.
Chelsea withdraw from the proposed competition a few weeks ago after major fans backlash- the 5 other Premier League involved in the idea also did the same.
